Wm Edwards	A Long Standing And Big Family Bakery In Platt Bridge Near The Late Shop And Wheelchair Dealership. Refurbished And Very Nice! Good Pies At Low Low Prices, Well Worth A Visit! Pie Ratings:
Galloways	Founded In Wigan As "The Wigan Pie Shop" They Are A Family Owned Business With Major Bakeries In Preston, St Helens And Ecclestone. The Pies Are Still Baked In Store Though. Outside Of Wigan Town Their Shops Are Not Really Seen Much- There's One In Billinge And Another In Burscough Though. Nice Pies, But The Pastry Is A Bit Soggy. Pie Ratings:
Greggs	Found Across The Country, Over 1200 Branches Stretching From Oxford Road In London To Gerrard Street In Ashton And Even Antwerp In Belgium. Not Too Bad But Quite A Bit Pricey And The Pie Crust Is Often Rather Dry. One Of Very Few Pie Shops With Shareholders. Pie Ratings:
Greenhalghs	It's Pronounced "Green-oltchs". Bolton Born Pie Shop, Slightly More Upmarket Than You Average Bakery, Rather Traditional Feeling. Voted Independent Bread Business Of The Year In 1999, With 38 Shops Around The North West. Flakey Pastry. Pie Ratings:
Hampsons	Another Bolton Bakery Now Owned By Lyndale Foods Limited. Their Pies Are Bugger To Get Out The Tin Foil Thing. Great Value Though With The "Two Pies For A Pound" Offer, Thus Making Them My Pie Shop Of Choice! Pie Ratings:

Hollands	Proper Decent Lancashire Pies Based In Baxenden. After Dominating The Pie Market Their Moving Onto The Pasty And Sausage Roll Sector. Their Frozen Pies Available In All Good Supermarkets Are Sadly Lacking. Pie Ratings:

The Old Bakehouse	A Small Orrell Post Bakery Where Only The Best Ingredients Will Do, The Pies Are Made In Situ, Very Good Value For Money And A Very Friendly Service Offering A True Wigan Pie Experience! Pie Ratings:
Pooles	Once The Undisputed Kings Of Pie Retailing In Wigan Since 1847. Taking Over Numerous Independent Bakeries They Had Shops Everywhere. But Come The Late 1990's The Bloated Pooles Empire Imploded And Over Night All Their Shops Where Emptied And The Window's White Washed Over. This Disaster Also Coincided With A Slump In Wigan Warriors Performance, And A Rise In The Latics... Surprisingly Both Teams And Pooles Where Owned By Dave Whelan. However Pooles Are Making A Come Back! And You Can Buy Pooles Pies In The JJB Stadium, Which Whelan Owns... Pie Ratings:

Rathbones	Another Pie Brand Aquisitioned By Dave Whelan's Whelco. The Newton Based Company Was Then Absorbed By Pooles And All Their Shops Changed Names. However There Are Still A Number Of Rathbones Delivery Vans Knocking Round Wigan. Their Bakery Can Be Seen From The Railwayline To Southport. Pie Ratings:
